What does a behavioral science degree teach you?

To make more money at anything, you have to understand it completely. After all, you could end up learning skills that you didn’t even expect to learn. So, if you don’t know what’s being taught in class, you’ll never discover your true potential.

This degree takes at least four years, so that’s four years to figure it out.  So, classes generally cover the following subjects:

  • Sociology
  • Psychology
  • Ecology
  • Economics
  • Anthropology

In some cases, you might even get into evolution, anatomy, or microbiology. It all depends on what you plan to do after graduation.

The top-paying behavioral science degree jobs

The best paying careers in this field almost always focus on culture and diversity. They’re usually centered on human services or counseling of some sort too. Specializing while you’re still in school is a great way to rake in more dough.

FUN FACT: The average grad with this degree makes around $64,000 per year to start, according to Zip Recruiter.

Either way, these are the 5 best jobs for people who recently graduated with a credential in behavioral science:
  1. Market Researcher – You’ll earn about $62,500 a year to help consumers make better buying choices.
  2. Health Services Manager – Take home an average of nearly $96,000 yearly to help facilities conform to new laws.
  3. Social and Community Services Manager – Work with specific demographics to make about $65,000 a year at this job.
  4. Social Worker – Help people improve their living conditions while making nearly $47,000 on average.
  5. Human Resource Specialist – For about $59,000 a year you train employees and create better work environments.

Keep in mind that some of those jobs might require additional training. The higher you go in school, the more money you can make though. So, study hard and graduate from a good school. Remember, online degrees are just as legit and they can help you start making more money even sooner.

Which college should I attend to make more money?

Picking out the perfect school for behavioral science isn’t always easy because there are so many to choose from. So, why not start at a top-rated college? Here are the best 3 to get you started:

#1. The University of Pheonix

There are over 165,000 students enrolled at this school and many of them are women. Tuition is incredibly reasonable and the class sizes are small. Plus, they have one of the best online programs in the entire country.

#2. Mercy College

They have a fine health sciences program and only about 11,000 students in total. So, their class sizes are intimate despite their tuition being slightly higher than a few others on this list. The good news is that their acceptance rate remains reasonable.

#3. Johns Hopkins
